The demand for NZ beef is strong all year and in winter months the kill numbers are depressed, and meat availability can be challenging. The summer season sees an increase in kill numbers, along with demand as the weather warms and NZ’ers take advantage of outdoor living.
The weather significantly influences when stock is available for processing.
